The second half of the book continues the saga, while exploring the paradox of love and hate. The story now centers on a personal vendetta, a dual between feminine and masculine powers, Aaron’s widow pitted against Aaron’s uncle, the man responsible for her husband’s death and the brutal subjugation of her people. Eve is kidnapped by Draco and as these two opposing characters spar with one another, Draco undergoes a transformation. He falls in love with Eve and that love becomes his Achilles heel. Then there’s a twist that creates the love-hate paradox that Eve must come to terms with...
