The Order is a prequel to the first three books and gives a full development of the five years that Adam spent at the Order on the western shores of the Great Ocean where he went to be trained as his forbearers had. But it was not to be. He would not get the same education they received. Adam finds the ancient Order in a wretched state of decline and decay bordering on bedlam. The dominant rector of the Order has become enfeebled and deranged. Corruption abounds with murder and intrigue being the order of the day. |
